Dorothy Maud (Arnold) Seymour died on Dec. 22, 2007, in Auburn, Wash.
She was born July 17, 1914, in Sumas, Wash., to J. Lewis and Winifred (Sharp) Arnold.
She graduated from Snohomish High School in 1932. She attended Seattle Pacific College, graduating with a three year normal school degree in 1935.
She married Evert Seymour on Sept. 18, 1935, and together they pastored Free Methodist Churches in Washington for many years. She completed a fourth year of college in 1958, and taught school in Cosmopolis and Sedro Woolley, Wash.
They retired to Marysville, Wash., and Evert died in 1984.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Arnold; sister, Margaret (Arnold) Wood; and a granddaughter, Amy Seymour; and son-in-law, Don Melquist.
Dorothy is survived by a sister, Louise (Arnold) Bangasser, of Seattle, Wash.; seven children, including David Seymour (Glenda), of Hoquiam, Wash.; Miriam (Seymour) Melquist, of Auburn; Paul Seymour (Jackie), of Sammamish, Wash.; John Seymour (Robbyn), of Mt. Vernon, Wash.; Ruth (Seymour) Springer (Ken), of Olympia, Wash.; Sharon (Seymour) Kanehen (Greg), of Marysville; her twin sister, Susan (Seymour) Jacobs (Daniel), of Kent, Wash.; numerous nephews, nieces, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at 1 p.m., Friday, Dec. 28, 2007, at Marysville Free Methodist Church.
