Edythe Corrine Beaman, a life-long resident of Marysville, Wash., died peacefully Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010 at the age of 90.
Born on March 1, 1919 in Velva, North Dakota, Edythe Solvberg moved to Marysville in the 1930s.
In 1938 she met and married Don Beaman. They had two children, Tom and Bruce.
Edythe worked for the Boy Scouts for many years and was court clerk in Don Beaman’s court for 33 years. Later in life Edythe ran Marysville Licensing. Edythe was also very active in the Marysville Historical Society.
Edythe Beaman is survived by her son Bruce and his wife Cecilia Beaman of Seattle and her daughter-in-law Carol Beaman of Olympia.
Her oldest son Tom, husband of Carol, died in 1990.
Edythe Beaman is fondly remembered by her grandchildren Todd Beaman, Jill Spooner, Holly Carver, Jenny Beaman, Jason and Julie Beaman, Sean and Kristen Sullivan and her great grandchildren; Sydney Armstrong, Haley Spooner, Taylor Beaman, Jalena Beaman, Jadalyn McGee, Clara Sullivan and Jessica Jowers. Edythe also is survived by her brother Bud Solvberg of Stanwood, sister Shirley Roth of Stanwood and sister Ollie Kerr of Bothell.
Edythe will be fondly remembered by her dear friends, Darlene Scott of Marysville and Betty Johnson of Monroe.
