John Edward David III, 63, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2007.
He was born in Oakland, Calif., on Jan. 6, 1944.
John had worked at Boeing for 25 plus years. He was a Navy veteran, having served in Vietnam.
John is survived by his wife, Jeannie of 23 years; his three daughters, Tiffany (Pat) Connelly, of Arlington, Wash., Jennifer (Mark) Day, of Arlington, and Cathy (Brian) Singleton, of Marysville, Wash.; and son, Darrin (Jenny) Douglas, of Arlington. He also leaves behind at the family farm his loving grandson, Steven. Also surviving are the loves of his life, putting a twinkle in his eyes when he talked about them his loving grandchildren, Brittany, Devon, Brooklyn, Patrick, Brendan, Connor, Chloe and Lola. He is also survived by his mother, Esther Meyers; and sisters, Annette (John) Potenziani, Jan (Don) Larson and Jane Giacalone; brother, Danny Singleton; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his father, John E. David II.
His joy in life was the close friends, family and his life on the farm. John loved his yearly hunting trips with his Bros. He was always up for a game of pool, the challenge of a game of cribbage, going to and hosting bunco parties with family and his many wonderful and crazy friends. John loved to hear new jokes, laugh and have fun. He also loved camping, going to the river and woodworking. He always had projects going.
A viewing was held from 1 – 5 p.m., Wednesday, April 18, 2007, and Thursday, April 19, 2007, at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home, Marysville. A Memorial Service was held at the family farm at 1 p.m., on Saturday, April 21, 2007.
