John Ernest Regan, 83, of Everett, passed away Dec. 3, 2006.
He was born Feb. 22, 1923 in Everett, the son of Ernest and Merle Regan, and lived in Everett.
John served in the U.S. Marine Corp during World War II. He was married to Barbara Stewart in 1941 and again to Virginia Martinka in 1968. He was retired as a cadabbler, his word. John was a member of the Elks and Moose Lodge and the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, investing, and traveling.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia; four sons and three daughters, Charles E. Regan, Patrick J. Regan, Theodore L. Regan, Mary E. Regan, Craig Martinka, Christine E. Martinka and Jonie M. Monihan; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father; brother Eugene Regan; daughter Virginia L. Miedema; and his first wife.
A Rosary was said at 10 a.m., Friday, Dec. 8, at Solie Funeral Home, followed at 11:30 a.m., by a reception at St. Marys Catholic Church, Marysville. A graveside service followed the reception at 1:30 p.m., at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery, 4200 88th N.E., Marysville.
