John Etheridge Cravens, born in Lawton, Okla., Oct. 31, 1934, went to be with Our Lord on Jan. 11, 2010.
A long time resident of Washington, he spent the last 20 years in Arlington Heights, Arlington. He leaves behind his wife Jessie, seven children and their spouses: John Jr. and Leigh, Tami, Mike and Melody, Renee and David, Dan and Julie, David and Ella, Michael and Tressa, fourteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Growing up in Imperial Beach, Ca, he was in the first graduating class of Mar Vista High School. He joined the Army and was with Special Forces Airborne as a paratrooper and rigger, during the Korean War conflict. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Services will be held at Saint Aidan’s Episcopal Church on Camano Island Saturday, Feb. 6 at 1 p.m. Interment will be at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery at Point Loma, Calif. with full Military Honors March 5 at 2 p.m.
