Melvin Ehrisman, 83, of Everett, Wash., passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2007.
Mel was born Dec. 12, 1924, and was raised in Wagner, S.D.
He spent two years in the Army working on the Burma Road Project in China. In 1951, he relocated to the Washington area where he has remained since. He worked for the Seattle Transfer Company for 30 years. In 1980, he joined his life with Amelia King who preceded him in death in 1999. Mel loved bowling and was on a bowling team until the last few years.
Mel is survived by two sons, Larry Ehrisman, of Marysville, Wash., and Michael Ehrisman, of Cheyenne, Wyo.; and one daugher, Melanie Hein, of Arlington, Wash. He has three brothers all residing in South Dakota, Royal, Herman Jr., and Vern; and four sisters, Pearl Anderson, of Nebraska, Dorothy Jackson, of Moses Lake, Wash., Lowella (Fritzi) Connelly, of California and LaVita Bren, of South Dakota. He leaves behind seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service is planned for the end of June.
