Monte Lynn Ness, 71, Port Orange, Fla., passed away peacefully at Volusia/Flager Hospice Center of extended illnesses on July 18, 2009.
He was born May 10, 1938 in North Dakota. He grew up at Smokey Point in Arlington and was preceded in death by his parents, Herb and Doris Ness and his brother Ron.
Monte went to Lakewood schools and graduated from Arlington High School.
He met his wife, Betty, while he was stationed in the army in Georgia. Together they raised their children in the Smokey Point area and then moved to Florida in 1987.
His memorial was held at Volusia/Flagler Hospice Chapel, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, on Monday,
July 27, 2009 at 6 p.m.
He will be dearly missed.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Betty, of 52 years; and his three children, Kandy, Curt and Monica; seven grandchildren, Jered, Heather, Lecia, Chantil, Maddy, Darcy and Austin; and two brothers, Terry and Dean Ness. You will be in our hearts forever.
