Robert Cameron Sager, 91, peacefully passed at home on July 7, 2016. He was born to Anna (Doig) Cameron (Scotland) and William Cameron (Nova Scotia) on May 25, 1925 in Anacortes, Washington. He was orphaned at a young age and adopted by Albert and Emma Sager.
He proudly served our country during WWII in the U.S. Navy. He continued working for the Navy at NAS Whidbey as a civil servant until retirement.
Robert enjoyed sports, photography, flowers, art and music. The greatest joy in life was his family. He was a cheerful, kind and gentle man. And will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, brother Nathan Cameron, sister Helen (Cameron) Ferguson and niece Maryann (Cameron) Eddy.
He is survived by daughters: Launi (Robert) Cameron, Marcia Sager and Julie (Steve) Shelton.
Grandchildren: Rhonda (Steve) Mackey, Denise Buendia, Nicole (Paul) Hooley, Ryan (Macy) Storme, Brandon McGrath, Andrew Shelton and Carter Shelton.
Great grandchildren: Chloe and Connor Mackey, William, Mason and Emilie Buendia, Caleb and Sydney Hooley, Katelyn and Tanner Storme.
Nieces: Vivian Ferguson and Jean Ferguson.
Per his wishes no service will be held. His ashes will be released to the waters surrounding Fidalgo Island at a later date.
