Selma Louise Edwards, of Port Orchard, passed away August 8, 2010. She was 82. She was born January 27, 1928 in Arlington, Washington, to Robert G. and Gladys (Jeffs) Bulle.
She attended school in Arlington and graduated, then married Wayne Edwards, her husband of 62 years. They lived in Arlington before moving to Bremerton in 1958, then Port Orchard in 1961. She was a homemaker until she went to work as a Supply Technician for the Fleet Industrial Supply Center and retired. She designed their dream home and they had it built in 1972.
She enjoyed drawing and painting, reading, gardening, camping, square dancing, journaling, cards and cooking pies. She enjoyed time with her friends at Givens Senior Center.
She is survived by son Donn (Sherry) of Port Orchard, sisters Hazel Levens and Edna Sebers both of Everett. Grandchildren Andrew, Marissa, and Amanda of Port Orchard. Step Daughter Loretta Bates of Arlington and numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband Wayne, son Gerald (Jerry), two sisters and three brothers.
A memorial service will be held at Haven of Rest, 8503 State Route 16 NW, Gig Harbor, Washington on Saturday August 21, 2010 at 2 PM. Memorial donations may be made to Christ the Rock Community Church.
