Theodore Rew, 84, of Marysville, Wash., entered his Heavenly home on Sept. 24, 2007.
He was born Dec. 8, 1922 in Clarkston, Wash.
He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1943, serving as Motor Machinist Mate, 3rd Class, with the amphibious forces in the Pacific. He was honorably discharged Dec. 24, 1945, in Bremerton, Wash.
He began an apprenticeship with the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton. In 1966 he transferred to Bonneville Power Administration in Vancouver, Wash.. He retired in 1978 with 34 years of Federal Service. He moved to Vancouver in 1981, where he worked for Pacific Power and Light for three years. He moved to Marysville, Wash. in August 2002, during his wifes long illness.
He married his beautiful, supportive wife, Mildred Farnsworth Rew on July 22, 1944, in Waukegan, Ill., and they remained devoted to each other for 58 years until her untimely death in Dec., 2002.
He is survived by his daughters, Margaret (Buford) Dale of Marysville and Deborah Corbett of Bellingham, Wash.; five grandchildren, Buford (Tawny) Dale, Jr. of Marysville, Ashley Corbett of Bellingham, Corey (Jennifer) Sobjack of Bellingham, Brandon Sobjack and Danielle Corbett of Bellingham; three great-grandchildren, Britttany Woodall and Buddy Dale of Marysville and Corey Sobjack, Jr; Teds sister, Evelyn Farnsworth of Issaquah, Wash.; numerous other relatives and many friends.
His friendly smile and charm will be missed. He is admired for his service and faithfulness to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Memorial services were at The First Baptist Church in Marysville, Saturday, Sept. 29, at 2 p.m.
