Marysville-Pilchuck had a surprisingly easy 4-1 Wesco 3A win over Shorewood Tuesday night in girls soccer.
Surprising in that Shorewood is 7-3 now on the year, while M-P is 3-7-1.
Trina Davis scored twice for the Tomahawks while Mackenzie Connelly and Brynn Pilkenton tallied one goal each. Connelly added an assist, as did Kaila Linayao-Beua.
Meanwhile, Meadowdale shut out Arlington 1-0, dropping the Eagles to 3-6-1 on the year.
Girls swimming
Snohomish easily defeated MG 156-23 and M-P 154-26 as the Panthers won every event.
MG’s top finishers were: Lexi Kilbourn second and Sophie Alt third in diving; Maria Dagang, fourth in the 200 medley; Jada Dahl fourth in the 100 butterfly; and Taryn Neal fourth in the 100 freestyle
M-P’s top finishers were: Katelyn Leary, third in the 200 freestyle; Isabella Hodgins third in the 100 backstroke; third in the 400 freestyle relay; Maddy Sulya fourth in the 500 freestyle; Gemma Hodgins fourth in the 100 breastroke; fifth in the 200 freestyle relay; and Alexis Bennett fifth in the 50 freestyle.
Girls volleyball
M-P lost a heart-breaker to Shorewood 3-2.
In 2A action, Burlington Edison blanked Lakewood 25-16, 25-18 and 25-21 to improve its record to 6-1.
The Cougars, who are winless in seven games, were led by Tehanna Goodall had seven kills, 21 digs and two blocks. Kimmy Epperson had 13 assists and two aces. Audrey Kummer added four kills and an ace.
Boys Tennis
Anacortes blanked Lakewood 7-0.
